The year 2007 will mark Lambton Ford Lincoln's 80th Anniversary! We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful community. At Lambton Ford Lincoln we realize that community involvement is what has made the Sarnia-Lambton area such a great place to live. That is why we have been involved in such important community efforts as the "Gift of Christmas" and the Teddy bear Toss" providing Christmas presents for the less fortunate children in this area.

A History Of Dreams And Success For Over 90 Years...

In the early 1900's two men by the names of Samuel Hitchcock and William T Richardson, had a dream to own a business. This dream became a reality when they opened the Sarnia Garage in 1910. 

Nine years later, in 1919, the Ford Garage was purchased from J.W. Harold, of Sarnia. This garage became the Universal Car Sales Company, located at 260 N. Christina Street. In 1927, Lambton Motors was founded when Albert Gort and Nobel Duff again obtained the Ford franchise.

By 1934, John D. Murray became the new owner, at which time Lambton Ford Lincoln was incorporated. In 1952 the company moved to Lochiel Street, where it was purchased by Richard A. Coltman, in 1959. By the year 1964, the company had outgrown this facility and made their move to the south west corner of Indian Road and Confederation Street where it still operated today.

In 1977, Lambton Ford Lincoln purchased the Avis Car Rental franchises in Sarnia, London and Windsor followed by the purchase of ownership by Harold J. Hall, in 1980. This was then followed by the creation of Lambton Auto Credit (Buy Here Pay Here) in 1992, to serve yet another segment of our growing market. In 2001, the previous Motor craft Fast Lube was converted to Fast Lane to provide a more comprehensive service experience for those customer in need of while you wait service in conjunction with the addition of an automated car wash facility.                

Over the years, from the beginning with Samuel Hitchcock and William Richardson, to today, The Lambton Motors Limited has left an historic mark as becoming a major automotive center. This would not have been possible without the unselfish dedication of employees, both past and present.
